In the previous era of printed media, you could clip out interesting articles and pictures to send to others or save for future reference. This space will be used to store the internet equivalent of my clippings.

One thing this video doesn’t emphasize: the cost of recycling electronics should be folded into the up front costs of the devices so that the market (i.e. you and me) can make effective choices based on the price of the electronics. In other words, if it costs more to recycle, the device will be more expensive when we buy it and not when we throw it away. If we don’t do this, the market will never be an effective part of the solution.
